The vase rising from a spreading foot to slender neck and flared mouth, the ovoid body decorated with four ovoid panels delicately chased and engraved with mythical beasts and birds amidst foliage scrolls, all reserved on a fine ring-punched ground, completed with domed cover with similar gilt design and lotus bud finial. Tang Dynasty period.
