此盤造型富貴華麗，金彩奪目絢麗，其上鏨刻“卷草花卉紋”“雙獅紋”，花朵雅緻清麗， 枝葉舒展自如，華貴而不艷俗；雄獅威武霸氣，雙目圓睜，張頷吼叫，四肢、軀幹造型飽滿、 生動，極富張力和表現力。整體紋飾層次分明，局部鎏金，金銀二色對比強烈。在當時金銀器不僅具有財富價值，還是帝王用於賞賜，用於供奉神靈。並且還有官員給帝王進奉的過程 中，起到了影響政治，宗教，軍事等各個領域的作用，細觀此器工藝非宮廷造辦處良工而不能為。
