臂擱是寫字時⽤來墊臂肘的⽂房⽤具，⼜稱腕枕、秘閣，俗稱⼿枕。同時臂擱由於也成⻓條⽅狀，與鎮尺相類，也可充當鎮紙，壓在上⾯，防⽌紙⾯被⻛掀起。此臂擱以⻩⽟雕琢，⾊澤均勻濃郁，質地細膩，打磨光滑，瑩亮⽔潤。臂擱上陰刻詩⽂，字體⼯整，⼀絲不茍，排列整⻬。成對保存，實屬不易。
