The vessel is cast in the shaped of a phoenix supporting a large flared vase, the vase exterior finely enamelled with dense lotus scrolls on turquoise green ground, the gilt bronze phoenix head with a loose ring in beak and wings enamelled in attractive green tone, the underside impressed with a four character Qianlong mark. Qing Dynasty period.

鳳凰是中國古代傳說中的百鳥之王，常用來象徵祥瑞，鳳凰齊飛，是吉祥和諧的象徵，自古就是中國文化的重要元素。中國對鳳鳥的崇拜自上古而始，商代以鳳鳥為圖騰，周代將其視作守護神。自秦漢以後，龍鳳逐漸成為帝王的象徵。此件掐絲琺瑯鳳鳥尊身形圓潤，以藍色琺瑯釉等為地，鳳首銜鎏金環，形象栩栩如生，背部及尾部浮雕出翅膀及尾羽，匠心獨具。背開一圓槽，裝連橢圓形尊，作卷尾立式。整件器形端莊雅緻，莊重之感呼之欲出。掐絲細緻，各式琺瑯色澤純正，高貴典雅，十分難得。底部款“乾隆年制”。
