This thinly potted deep stem bowl has a tall foot, which tapers sharply towards the top, and a slightly everted rim. The bowl is decorated with an incised, but fluid design, interior wall with a popular motif of three boys playing amid stylized floral scrolls, and the exterior wall with curved parallel lines. The bowl is covered with a glossy, light blue glaze, except for the very center of the base, where evidence of the firing stand remains. Song Dynasty period.

Provenance: The Shum Family collection, Hong Kong/Los Angeles 侈口, 深斜腹, 壁向内漸收, 高圏足, 有明顯墊燒痕. 胎薄, 透光, 内外刻花紋飾, 通體施青白釉, 釉質均勻, 晶瑩亮麗, 亦顯得該碗秀雅可愛。
