Recovered from shipwreck, the vase is of lipped mouth, shot neck, slender shoulder, long and full belly narrowing sharply toward the recessed base, this meiping is well potted, and covered overall in thick, lustrous olive-green glaze. Outer wall carved with bands of peony flower motifs, their blossoms full and open and with luxuriant branches and leaves. The carving is fluid, precise, and confident, and is well accentuated by the thick and lustrous glaze. Song Dynasty period.
來源:香港洛杉磯沈氏家族珍藏 Provenance: The Shum Family collection, Hong Kong/Los Angeles 梅瓶小口卷唇, 短頸, 溜肩, 上鼓下斂, 深圏足, 底足不施釉, 因還原焰出現各種褐斑點. 器身精刻纏枝牡丹花團, 通體施橄欖青色釉. 釉質純凈精細, 富有玻質透明感. 刻繪紋飾嫻熟流暢, 采用斜刀手法增強紋樣立體感. 造型豐滿渾厚, 穩重大方, 不可多得。
