The boulder is finely carved as two elderly literati conversing under a pine tree within a craggy mountain landscape, one is shown holding a lingzhi on left hand, with right hand raised, the other is shown holding a bucket on right hand, as if appreciating the flowing streams beneath them; to the right further carved with a pavillion and a stair leading to a temple in the background; the reverse carved with a fisherman rowing a boat and a duck shown standing upon the boat with head turning back, under a large pine tree sprouting from the rocky outcrops on the land. The stone is of even white tone. Accompanied with a carved hardwood stand. Qing Dynasty period.
