This massive boulder is of irregular form, deeply carved and pierced in high relief depicting the scene of a old scholar and a child standing beneath a cave on a bridge in the mountain, where a small pavilion is on the other side of bridge. The scholar looks upward on the cranes flying up toward the auspicious clouds. Underneath the scholar, upright trees issuing from the rocks on the mountain and a pathway is carved between two rocks. On the reverse pine trees and bamboo grows from the rocks. Early Republic period.
