Chinese. Overall carved in the form of flattened peach, borne on a gnarled branch around the rim that forms a smaller leafy peach, the interior and side carved with auspicious bats, the interior further inscribed with an Imperial poem in gilt, accompanied with rosewood stand. Qing Dynasty period.

凡作書畫皆需筆舔，使所蘸之墨色均勻，避免發生濃淡不均的現象，清宮所藏筆舔較少，皆為乾隆年間所製，精巧優美，可供賞玩。筆舔除實用意義外，更多的是用於觀賞陳設。它供置於書齋的案幾之上，與硯墨相伴，與文人相對。可息心養性，可助文思，几案之珍，得以賞心而悅目。此筆舔為上等和田白玉製做而成，細潤如脂，質地晶潤，包漿自然亮麗，細膩有光澤。筆舔呈蟠桃型，器側桃樹立體穿插，動感十足。舔心及左側浮雕“蝙蝠”，展翅飛舞，唯妙唯俏。寓意美好，有福壽安康之意。填金陰刻御題詩句“御題 歡心依日永樂志願春長階下松齡祝千秋奉壽康”。整器工精細，工藝精湛，極富情境，寓意深遠，為罕見的乾隆宮廷文房佳器。配紫檀鏤雕木座。
