Chinese. Of lobed mallow shape with flared rims and feet, the inside finely painted in cobalt blue with leafy pomegranates branches within double line border, the outside painted on each lobe with leafy floral branches enclosed within shaped cartouche. The cobalt blue underglaze with pronounced characteristics areas of 'heaping and piling'. Ming Dynasty period.

洗呈五葵瓣形，裡心微凸起。通體青花裝飾。口沿內外飾青花雙線紋，裡心繪石榴紋。外壁繪各式花卉紋十組，與葵瓣式器身相對應。明代景德鎮禦窯廠任用專業畫師繪瓷，然官瓷紋飾受宮規所限，多為龍紋、鳳紋，或其他像徵皇權紋飾，格式拘謹莊重，卻少筆意趣味。少數新式瓷器紋飾，寓意喜慶且不受制式所限，作非正式場合之用。此器現畫師嫻熟筆法，揮灑畫功底蘊，十分難得。
