王原祁，字茂京，號麓台、石師道人，江南省蘇州府太倉（今江蘇太倉）人，擅畫山水，繼承家法，學元四家，以黃公望為宗，喜用幹筆焦墨，層層皴擦，用筆沈著，自稱筆端有金剛杵。與王時敏、王鑒、王翚並稱「四王」，形成婁東畫派，左右清代三百年畫壇，成為正統派中堅人物。
