The Buddha cast in vajra paryankasana and dhyana mudra, the hair in neat whorls over the ushnisha and the face in a serene state of meditation, wearing a robe draped over the rounded shoulders and a similarly decorated dhoti, both with incised flowers and lotus meander, chest with a buddhist symbol, all raised on a lotus petal base.

阿彌陀佛是梵文“阿彌陀婆佛陀”和“阿彌陀庚斯佛陀”的音譯略稱，意思是“無量壽”和“無量光”，是主持西方極樂世界的教主。這尊造像是標準的明代中原漢傳佛教造像。造像雙手結禪定印，結全跏趺坐。頭部較大，頭飾螺發，肉髻圓隆高凸，頂飾摩尼寶珠，是宋元以來中原漢傳佛教常見的裝飾形式。面相方圓端莊，眼瞼低垂，目光下斂，雙目宛若未開敷的蓮花苞，俯視著芸芸眾生，神態慈祥柔和，典型的明代漢地造像面相特徵。上身著雙領式通肩大衣，下身著高束腰長裙，腰繫束帶並打結，這是中原造像典型的裝束形式。衣紋採用內地傳統寫實性技法，簡潔流暢，表現出衣料較強的質感。整尊造型端莊大方，比例舒展勻稱，胎體厚重敦實，時代風格鮮明，是明代中晚期中原造像中的典型作品。
