Qing Dynasty period. Modelled in the form of two bound books fastened with clasps at the sides inside a book cover, the exterior enamelled with gilt painted lotus sprays reserved on red ground, the top inscribed with three character Le Shan Tang, the shorter sides of the box in white glaze decorated with horizontal bands to simulate the pages of the books carried within, interior covered in turquoise green glaze.

此蓋盒造型與紋飾的設計別出心裁，充分體現出乾隆一朝瓷業製作追求新奇、銳意創新的風格。本器製作模擬一部叫《樂善堂全集》的詩集，此詩集成書於乾隆二年，收錄了乾隆帝年輕時所作的詩文，而樂善堂又為乾隆帝當皇子時讀書寫作的書房，該處亦掛上雍正帝御筆書寫的「樂善堂」牌匾。瓷質蓋盒，別緻的一迭兩書造型，多面燒上珊瑚紅釉作地，表面飾自歐傳入、流行於明清的纏枝西番蓮紋，以金彩所繪，金光燦爛，加上枝繁花茂，既具氣派，亦富豐富的視覺效果，蓋子正面左上角見垂直的長方框子，內為白地，書墨彩篆體“樂善堂”三字，字型古雅和諧，兩書書脊堆貼繫繩象牙扣共四個，每扣有小如意云紋作裝點， 蓋和盒的內膛及盒底施綠松石釉，色澤柔和悅目。整體精緻可人，色彩華麗，其仿照亦惟妙惟肖，富有妙趣，甚值玩味，實屬文房佳器。 （配木盒）
