Of compressed globular body rising from three short tapering feet to a slightly everted rim, flanked by a pair of upright loop handles, the exterior patinated to a warm russet tone, the base with twelve character mark dated to the Daoguang period.

沖天耳爐，又名“朝天耳爐”，其造型仿自宋代官窯瓷器的款式，沖耳朝天，端正肅穆，寓“敬天法祖”之意，此爐束頸圓鼓腹，底足承三乳足，雙耳朝天，器型典雅穩重，是為書房陳設之雅器，宣德爐最妙在其色，其色內融，於暗淡中發奇光，此爐皮色如熟慄，包漿沉穩，異彩奪目，銅質密實沉重，叩之如罄，底部落兩行八字篆書款，字體撲捉古雅。銅質精良，質色相和，其形、色、質、款皆屬上乘，神韻俱佳。
