Of flat rectangular form with softly bevelled edges, the straight sides subtly flaring towards the gently curved blade edge, pierced through with an aperture towards the narrow end.

玉斧表面有較多紋路，顏色較深。玉斧刃端呈淺弧裝，當頭豎直，並有一圓形孔，應為固定玉斧之用。玉斧上下邊沿基本平直。本品是文化期象徵王權的重要禮器。
