Of compressed globular body, supported on recessed foot with oval foot rim, the well-hollowed stone is carved with an elderly scholar in a conversation with a seated young attendant under pine, reverse carved with a crane in flight, the details cleverly expressed utilizing the brown inclusions and markings in the stone.
