Of circular form, carved with four mythical beasts 'turtle, tiger, dragon, and phoenix ' around the central knob. The stone is of green tone with russet inclusions.

此器物為玉雕鏡子，上刻中國古代四大神獸。青龍、白虎、朱雀、玄武，這四大神獸都有祛邪、避災、祈福的功效，且都有著特別吉祥的寓意。朱雀神鳥是祥瑞的象徵；龜和蛇壽命都很長，所以由它們組成的玄武便像徵長壽；青龍和白虎是門神，用於鎮守道觀，也就是道教常說的“左青龍，右白虎”。古代用玉雕刻鏡子實屬少有，且珍貴。
