The vessel is cast in the shape of a phoenix supporting a large flared vase, the vase exterior finely enamelled with dense lotus scrolls on turquoise green ground, the gilt bronze phoenix head with a loose ring in beak and wings enamelled in attractive green tone, the underside impressed with a four character Qianlong mark.
