The ruyi scepter is finely carved to the head depicting an elderly scholar chatting with a boy attendant under a pine tree, with lake and pavilion to the background; the shaft continously carved in relief to depict a similar scene of scholar seated within a rocky landscape with pines issuing from the cliffs. The stone is of well polished white tone. Mid-Qing Dynasty period.

此如意玉色潤白，質性肥瑩。桿執曲線弓形，紋飾浮雕山水人物圖。蒼松參天，山巒疊嶂，廟宇掩隱，河畔旁有老翁盤腿而坐。如意結頭圓潤寬大，沿邊起線，主飾與桿執主題呼應。形制規矩大氣，起線挺括端俊，刻工熟練老到，紋飾疏密有致，值得收藏。 來源: 加拿大多倫多私人藏家收藏
