Carved to imitate an archaic axe-blade with an openwork medallion of stylized taotie mask to the center, above inscribed Imperial poem composed by Qianlong Emperor in regular script, surmounted on the top with a pair of phoenix flanking the rectangular axe handle, all suspended on a hardwood stand. Qing Dynasty Qianlong period.

玉珮作斧形，沁色绵密，质地润泽。整体造型古朴，玉斧上部雕制双凤鸟纹，纹饰精美，古朴中透出神秘，灵锐之气尽显。整器工艺精湛，雕工细腻，因“斧”与“福”谐音，故斧形珮有祈福之意，而斧刃锐利，无坚不摧，又有明辨是非，当机立断之意，提醒珮戴者明察善恶，不要优柔寡断。配硬木架子。
