Carved in the form of furled lotus-leaf shape, the exterior carved in high relief with a plum blossom and a magpie in flight. Qing Dynasty period.

筆洗取整料雕琢而成， 玉質細膩溫潤，包漿自然。器壁挖膛均勻， 洗內深腹。筆洗敞口， 口沿圓潤， 以隨形根枝作柄， 另琢梅花、枝幹， 以數隻喜鵲盤旋其間。古人以喜鵲作為喜慶的象徵， 古人常以梅花諧音“ 眉”字， 畫喜鵲站於梅花枝幹， 即組成了“ 喜上眉梢”的吉祥圖案，廣為流傳。
