Modelled in the form of archaistic wine vessel Guang, the body decorated with a band of lappets and mythical beast heads, fitted with a cover topped with an arched mythical animal. Qing Dynasty Period.

玉質溫潤，器形及紋飾皆仿商周之際青銅器，古樸華美，蘊含裝飾趣味，是明清仿古玉的一個重要器形。玉觥略呈長方形，寬流，蓋面做有角的獸頭狀，口沿及圈足均陰線刻雲雷紋一周，器身下腹部淺浮雕螭龍紋帶飾。其一側鏤雕夔龍為柄。蓋面圓雕一螭虎趴伏其上，目視前方，長尾後卷，鬢毛鬚髮均細細刻琢。構思巧妙，雕工精細。參閱《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集玉器下》139 玉獸面紋觥 來源： 聖地亞哥著名藏家陳昌師先生提供
