The shaped rectangular pendant inlaid with coral, turquoise, and lapis lazuli to depict a bat and peaches flanking the two character 'Zhai Jie', the reverse with similar decoration flanking two Manchurian characters. Qing Dynasty period.

齋戒牌是古代皇帝及文武官員祭祀時掛於身上的警示牌。 《明史禮志》記：“齋者，整齊其內;戒者，禁止其外” 。雍正時期，重新酌定齋戒牌式樣，縮小尺寸，令官員佩於心胸之間，以期簡束身心。此件器物用青金石、綠松石、蜜蠟製作而成。
