Covered overall in a tea dust glaze of brown tone to simulate the patina of bronze and splashed with robin's-egg turquoise and green enamel to mimic encrustation, the rectangular body inlaid with a panel inscribed in running script with imperial poem on white glaze, the border, neck, and feet all moulded with raised archaistic mythical beast motif, the underside base with four character Qianlong mark. Qing Dynasty period.

本品雋巧別致，氣質華貴，取雙夔龍為耳，以仿古銅釉為底色，口沿以下分別裝飾如意雲頭紋和夔蝠紋，瓶腹中間為長形倭角開光，圍以模印夔龍紋，開光內白地墨書篆體《詠掛瓶》詩，行法古雅清秀。末鈐紅彩篆書“乾”、“隆”關聯章。底部為“乾隆年制”陰文四字篆款，端莊穩健，有別常見的描金篆款，是為乾隆壁瓶少見之款式。
