The interior is exquisitely decorated with the scene of two roosters setting upon rockwork next to large leafy peony blossoms to the background,all within a light green ground floral band beneath floral diaper band on the inverted rim interrupted by three irregular shaped roundels enclosing leafy finger citron sprigs,the reverse suffused with rich ruby red enamel. Qing Dynasty Yongzheng period.

胭脂紅釉為雍正時期名貴品種，器內常以五彩、粉彩繪人物、花鳥、瑞果等圖案，繪山水者十分少見。拍品與英國大維德東方藝術基金會藏品紋飾布局、風格相類（參見《大維德東方藝術基金會藏中國瓷器》，第二冊，編號862），繪工精細，氣韻典雅，具有雍正時期粉彩的典型特征。折沿盤胎體輕薄堅致，外壁施胭脂紅釉，釉色勻凈純美，折沿內於花卉錦地紋上設三組開光，內繪荔枝、石榴、佛手三多果實及薔薇、牡丹、雛菊等花卉；盤心以粉彩繪雉雞牡丹，整圖繪畫的栩栩如生，描繪生動，層次分明，或以當時名家的山水畫作為粉本繪制。來源：原藏家1984年購於紐約Rare Art Inc 附發票
