The cylindrical green jade jardinière fitted upon gilt bronze stand, planted with gilt bronze orchid leaves and clusters of agate beads borne on high stems to form the flowes, the stand inscribed with possibly later added inscription attributed to the Imperial workshop. Qing Dynasty period.
Compare a similar lacquered jardiniere planted with spinach green jade orchids in the collection of Beijing Palace Museum.
