The necklace is composed of one hundred and eight agarwood beads carved with 'xi' character in relief, spaced with three large tourmaline 'Buddha's head' beads, and a two-part double-gourd tourmaline bead, with a gilt metal mounted green quartz bead, and three strings of rounded tourmaline beads suspending a tourmaline drops. Qing Dynasty period.
