Of pear-shape and raised from spreading feet, the jade vase carved with archaistic taotie mask to its body, the slender neck flanked by two elephant head handles suspended with loose rings, fitted with carved cover. Qing Dynasty period.
此器為大料剖制,玉料色澤溫潤,渾厚細膩。瓶形仿漢代青銅壺制,肩部承雙像耳啣環,扁圓腹,壺身紋飾饕餮紋,縱橫交錯,繁而不雜。其像耳雕刻生動別緻,細部刻畫遊刃有餘,足顯工匠高超技藝,展現典型的清宮御製風格。此器質精而料足,大形大勢又偶露纖巧意趣,玉料人工搭配相得益彰,使於渾厚莊重之中閃現靈動娟秀之美,構思巧絶,不可多得。 來源:洛杉磯藏家多年收藏 Provenance: Private collection, Los Angeles
