Ink and watercolors, the very well hollowed crystal of spade-shape tampering to a slightly concave base, brilliantly incorporating the reddish inclusion in the crystal with a vividly painting of a pair of magpies perching on the plum tree on both sides.The back with inscription and signed Ding Erzhong.

丁二仲 (1868－1935), 原名丁尚庾，祖籍浙江紹興。晚清民初藝術大家，對鼻煙壺內畫藝術精通，而且對金石、篆刻、竹刻頗有研究。其山水、人物、花鳥各類均擅長，畫風博雅深邃，別具一格。與周樂元、馬少喧、葉仲三並稱“清末內畫四大家”。
