Freely carved to the interior medallion with a duck swimming within a sea of breaking waves extending upward on to the six lobed sides of petal form, all covered in an attractive olive-green glaze pooling within the recesses of the carving and thinning to mustard yellow tones at extremities. Northern Song Dynasty period.
