The deep-sided square censor resting on an unglazed foot rim. The four exterior walls covered overall in a lavender glaze, while the interior walls under a creamy-blue glaze, with worm marks in some areas. The numerical “five” was carved under the base. The unglazed foot rim and the base burned to a brownish-buff color.

Provenance: The Shum Family collection, Hong Kong/Los Angeles 香爐作正四方型. 方口, 深直斜壁, 平底, 下承四足托泥. 胎骨厚重, 造型規矩. 通體罩施濃釉, 釉質乳濁具光澤, 釉表氣泡稯眼明顯. 器内釉色天青泛白, 釉面有蚯蚓走泥紋, 器外則是葡萄紫釉. 施釉至底足, 足邊積垂厚釉, 稜邊縮釉處與底足露胎處皆成褐黃色. 底刻有數目字 “五”。
