The finely potted jar is of compressed globular form and raises on a ribbed unglazed base, the rounded body rises to inward-curving mouth rim, the exterior covered overall in mirror black tone glaze and stopping neatly above the foot ring. The base bears six character 'WANLI' mark. Ming Dynasty period.
