Each incense burner is of double gourd form, the lower body carved and pierced in openwork at the center roundel with key-fret pattern, embellished with mother-of-pearl, lapis lazuli, turquoise, agate, and other semi-precious gems depicting plum and bird. The exterior carved with flowers and vines, the neck and base carved with scrolling key fret patterns, mouth rim and base bound in gilt-bronze, all supported on zitan stand. Qing Dynasty period.
