Finely painted on the interior medallion to depict a scene of an elderly immortal sitting and leaning against a large tree trunk with gnarled branches travelling through turbulent waves, with pile of books and cotton bag by his feet, he is shown wearing voluminous robe with elegant folds, his face highly detailed, confidently gazing forward, the cavetto with a dense lotus scroll meander against a yellow-enamel ground, the exterior reverse further decorated with stylized lotus scrolls, the base bears a four character 'QIANLONG' mark. Qing Dynasty Qianlong period.

銅胎畫琺瑯工藝以紅銅制胎，後在胎土敷一層白釉，燒結後用釉色彩繪，經二三次填彩、修正後再燒結、鍍金、磨光而成。最早由西洋傳教士引進中國。最早燒瓷作品誕生於康熙年間。乾隆時期為盛期，技藝獲得全面提高，品種增多，在工藝上近似景泰藍，在裝飾上又有瓷器之風貌，所以它既具有景泰藍厚重、端莊之特色，又具瓷器明麗、清雅之風采，構成獨具一格的藝術特徵。此盤即是典型乾隆時期銅胎畫琺瑯經典代表，盤心所繪仙人渡海，栩栩如生，人物表情十分細膩，一絲不苟，畫面佈局規整，層次清晰，構圖細致，極具收藏價值。來源：拉斯維加斯私人藏家提供
