The smoothly carved white jade disc is decorated with sinuous and twisting chilong in relief, the stone is of white tone with dark russet inclusions; it is mounted within a deftly carved zitan table screen, the aperture with a carved central wood boss locking into the back panel to secure the jade and decorated with a Qian symbol, densely carved overall with archaistic scroll motifs; the back carved and gilt-painted with imperial poem.
