The vase is finely carved in the form of an hexagonal archaic bronze gu with raised flanges. The bulbous mid section depicts stylized taotie mask and confronting mythical beasts, the flared neck further decorated in relief with lion mask with ring. The mouth rim incised with a band of key-fret pattern. Qing Dynasty period.
