The top rail terminating in chilong heads, supported on two tall posts, flanked at top by reticulated design of squirrels among floral scrolls and fruits, and framing a rectangular reticulated panel of liuhan and golden toad, above a floral scroll design apron, connected to the basin stand formed by wheel-shaped stretchers comprised of six spokes, the top of legs terminating in lotus bud finials; the interior of the basin is finely painted with the scene of leafy peony blossoms issuing from the rockbase below two flying butterflies encircled by double-line. The everted rim is further decorated with alternating auspicious emblem enclosed by shaped border spaced by repeated geometric motif. Qing Dynasty period.
