Horizontally worked, the boulder is carved in high relief in front with figures in a mountainous landscape with pine and wutong trees, including a scholar grasping a staff with his attendant, three scholars gathering and sitting together in a conversation, a scholar sitting alone in meditation, and two scholars on a bridge above stream, all with delicate details; the reverse further carved with three scholars appreciating a painting scroll under pine trees, with inscribed imperial poem and marks in gilt. Accompanied with a hardwood stand carved with rocky outcrops. The stone is of even white celadon tone. Qing Dynasty period.
