The Avalokitesvara is cast seated in dhyanasana atop a separately cast lotus throne with incised petals, the right hand raised holding the willow branch, the left hand as if holding a cup, dressed in long robes engraved with floral scrolls at the hem, opening at chest revealing the beaded necklaces. The face is shown with benevolent expression, flanked by elongated earlobes suspending ornate earrings, wearing pointed crown surrounding topknot, the back with parcel-gilt and lacquer. Ming Dynasty period.
