Of broad oval shaped body, the vessel is cast standing on spreading foot ring, the sides cast with arched handle terminating in ram masks. The high domed cover is surmounted with a flared finial. It is decorated around the main body and cover in relief with stylized phoenix pairs on the front and back reserved on leiwen ground, with a band of scrolling mythical beast confronting a raised bovine mask. The exterior of the cover top with inscriptions. The vessel has extensive mottled green patina with malachite encrustations.
