Each elephant is elaborately adorned and inlaid with turquoise, lapis lazuli, and coral. The saddle blanket is cast with mountains rising from waves below a coral-inlaid sun enclosed and surrounded by Buddhist emblems spaced by gems. Each elephant carries an archaic vessel decorated with numerous agate rings hanging from flanges. Each is supported on wood stand with ivory fences. Qing Dynasty period.
