The teapot shaped similar to a Chinese weight balance, starting from the bridge-shaped finial and expanding to the full body, one side incised with blossoming flowers and branches, the reverse with poetry calligraphy by Shi Die, the bottom with four character mark, additional two character artist mark "Shen Xi" beneath handle.

秦始皇時統一六國，統一的度量衡，權就是秤砣，秦權壺因此得名。此壺石楳刻字，把款為申錫方印。
