The teapot's body divided into four bulging lobed sections, rectangular in shape and curved on the sides, stands on square L shaped feet, all made from purple clay, the bottom bears five character mark "Cui Zhu Xuan Xin Qing".

此壺用料精細，壺身發出黯然之光，壺身成型採用了鑲身桶之工藝，由於每一面均外鼓，其工藝難度遠高於平面的四方器，而在銜接初轉折形成倭角，其工藝難度更是達到了極致。壺嘴呈四方三彎流，亦帶倭角，壺把成圓角方形，方頸，方蓋，蓋面飾以四瓣葵花形，環飾壺鈕，亦為四方倭角型，底落款翠竹軒信卿。
