Of cylindrical shape, this brush pot is carved and pierced in medium relief with a mountainous landscape scenes where a scholar wandering upon a bridge amongst the mountains on one side and a hermit holding a hoe next to pine trees and chrysanthemum on the other side. The stone is of overall white tone with russet markings and inclusions.
