Of flattened hu form, the vase is delicately carved in shallow relief with rose-heads, foliage, bamboo, and magpie in body and neck, along with a band of key-fret pattern above the neck. The neck is flanked by a pair of elaborate openwork ring handles connected with a linked loose chain to a openwork pendant. The vase is surmounted by a domed cover with a bud finial. The stone is of white and pale tone.
