This elaborately bronze cast Puxian Bodhisattva is shown riding upon an elephant. Wearing a long and voluminous robe, her chest is exposed with adorned necklace. Her face is depicted with a serene expression, below a tall chignon under the adorned tiara. A ribbon emanating from back flanks her shoulder. The robes and the saddle cloth on elephant are delicately enamelled with stylized foliate scrolls and chrysanthemum. The piece is completed with an original hardwood base. Qing Dynasty period.
