These six panels of the lacquer floor screens depict the Eighteen Arhats, with rhyming couplets on the outer panels. The centers of second and fifth panels were rendered with three Arhats each, while the centers of third and fourth panels were rendered with six Arhats each. The body parts were carved out of wood and bone. The other areas of the panels were embellished with soap stones, lapis lazuli, malachite, turquoise, white jade, jadeite, agate, and pink tourmaline. Early Republic period.
