Seated in dhyanasana on top of a double lotus pad, the bodhisattva's right hand in bhumisparsha mudra, left hand in varada mudra, dressed in half-open robe exposing partial upper body, long beaded ornaments encircling the chest, arm, hand, and feet, with floral and leaf patterns in-between. The bodhisattva has elongated earlobes, curly knotted hair, and serene expression. Loss of gilt on several areas revealing dark jade within. 18th century.

此尊墨玉釋迦摩尼墨玉雕佛像，用料大方，雕工精細，神態莊嚴，渾厚樸實，佈局嚴謹，時代久遠，品相完整，應為清代皇室所供奉。此類佛像在歷屆拍賣會上及其少見，彌足珍貴。附有香港藝術品商會1976 年古玩鑒定証書。
