Carved from a rhinoceros horn, the figural group depicts a protective rooster with five chicks. The rooster stands on grass covered ground, wings slightly open, head turned to the left with beak open, tail raised high and proud. Three chicks gathered close by the front of rooster, seeking food on the ground, one chick playfully stands on the rooster's left wing, and the last chick looking up to the rooster from its left side. Carved in great detail, the figural group retains the natural brown-red color of rhinoceros horn. Bottom with R.O.C. Wildlife Product registration number 64000-00000135 sticker.
