The floor screen is made up from six separate rectangular applique lacquer panels, together forming a palace scene with many families and children gathered in front. The panels are decorated with Shoushan soapstone, jade, ivory, mother of pearl, chicken blood stone, and Qingtian stone, forming palace, people, rocks, and treasures. On the back the panels are gilt decorated with six different type of flowers.
